After a drink too many, I am suffering horribly and have a children's party attend with Ben- wish me luck!xxx
We're a family of three: me, Steve and our son Ben, although that's if you're not including our three legged dog Gizzy, the rabbit Benjy and all our wider family and friends. This is a simple blog to document our simple life.

Stuff I wear for drinks with Steve
I enjoy looking at how other people dress, how they mix and match patterns, fabrics, accessories etc. I have tried getting Steve to take photos for outfit posts but was always left feeling like an utter plonker posing for them. Anyway, last night I bit the bullet. Cue awkward looking photo of me...

Ooh I love that print and your red bag is gorgeous too. I always feel like an idiot attempting to get someone to snap my outfit xxx
ReplyDeleteDo you think it gets easier over time? It doesn't help that Steve kept giggling and telling me how stupid I looked! He's a charmer.x
DeleteYou look adorable. Hope you feel better, nothing worse than loads of children when you've got a hangover!
ReplyDeletehey rachael, thanks for the comment responding to my blog post. I'm glad you feel the same way as me! I do enjoy reading about your life, it's exciting to get to know people who live thousands of miles away! I do read your blog & enjoy it :) ps; love the outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you all, I do like the idea of sharing fashion but not sure how I feel about posing for photos.x
ReplyDeleteThanks for comment, I like your blog. I m following you, follow back if you want.
ReplyDeletegood luck!!! and what a pretty dress =)
ReplyDeleteAw, good luck! I really love your outfit. I really like the print and the colored tights. Taking outfit pictures is always awkward I think but after awhile it becomes easier :]
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! Those colors suit you perfectly {and I adore the lipstick}
ReplyDeleteI have talked with some other bloggers about photos because we were having the same problem, and they all say you need to take a lot of pictures...the key is to not to put pressure on yourself by feeling like you must strike the perfect pose in one or two snaps (in fact, its generally the attempt at posing that ruins a picture). If you take several, eventually you'll relax and catch something you will be happy with. Another trick is to have the person taking the pic talk to you-- its hard to concentrate on posing if you are having to answer a question! Of course, having a daughter who enjoys taking pictures is also a plus~*
Yes, I've seen your lovely photos. We took about 7 photos and believe it or not, this was the best of the bunch! I only managed about 20 seconds before the cringe factor became overwhelming.x
DeleteI love it! You should do outfit posts more often :)

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I really like your style here. Lovin the red lipstick. Looking forward to seeing more outfit x
ReplyDeleteOh no kids parties and hangovers do not mix!! Hope you survived! I hate posing for photos hence the reason there are no photos of me on my blog. After reading everyone's tips on here I might have another go. There's some really good advice. P.S. Please please please can you tell me where your playsuit is from. It's lurvly. x
ReplyDeleteGive it a whirl, you can't look dafter than me! Playsuit is from good old TK Maxx for £14.99, I justified the purchase by convincing myself that I can wear it with flats in France when we go in the summer too.x
